Day 3
Made our own lunch this morning! We then shot off to Eyjafjallajokull where we saw and touched some ash from the 2010 eruption. We went to the coastline that had views which rivalled even that of the Dorset coastline. There was an amazing arch that was made of basalt, which looked like it was defying gravity. The waves were so big that people are permanently warned away from the water. We visited the wool factory where we bought souvenirs which you can all look forward to receiving! In the afternoon we then saw some amazing mud geysers that produced lots of steam and a nice sulphur whiff. We ended the days activities with a nice swim in an open-aired swimming pool - outdoor temperature 7 degrees, water temperature 40 degrees!
